France Drops All Covid-19 Restrictions

France has dropped all Covid-19 entry restrictions for international travellers.

The rule came into effect on August 1, 2022. Visitors can now enter France without having to follow any COVID-related entry rules.

The decision was announced by the French Ministry of Interior, which states that all travellers, regardless of their country of origin, will no longer be required to present a vaccination, recovery, or test certificate upon their arrival.

Travellers can now enter France for all kinds of purposes and no longer need to present a sworn statement of non-contamination and a commitment to undergo testing or examination upon their arrival.

The Ministry warned that the country might reintroduce stricter measures if the need arises.

France joins 26 other European countries in dropping all Covid-19 entry restrictions.

These include Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Czechia, Croatia, Cyprus, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Greece, Germany, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Sweden, and Switzerland.
