Fred. Holidays has launched its brand-new 2026/2027 European Touring & Rail Brochure, showcasing an expanded collection of rail journeys, independent touring holidays and special interest itineraries across Europe’s most sought-after destinations.

The launch comes as touring and rail holidays become the most popular travel style for Fred. Holidays, with bookings up 10% year-on-year and Europe continuing to lead current booking trends.
Among the strongest performing destinations are Switzerland which is up 62% and Italy which is up 18%, with demand also for Germany, Austria, Belgium and the Baltics.
In addition, the Netherlands has seen a significant increase as customers utilise it as a kick-off destination before exploring further afield.
The new 96-page brochure, which has been designed to meet growing demand for immersive, hassle-free and more sustainable ways to explore Europe, features iconic rail experiences, culturally rich touring holidays and great-value breaks from £359 per person.
A key highlight of the new programme is an expanded range of special interest tours including Christmas markets, gardens and heritage-led experiences, as well as remembrance and battlefields tours which combine independent travel with expert local specialist guides in destination and visit key World War 1 and World War 2 sites of significance.
