Royal Caribbean has revealed that Freedom of the Seas will sail from Southampton for the 2027 summer season, reflecting the continued strength of the UK & Ireland market.

The move represents an upsizing of capacity and brings a Freedom Class ship – long regarded as a favourite among British and Irish guests – back to the region, said the cruise line in a statement.
Onboard, guests of all ages can kick back or dive into adventure at the resort-style Caribbean pool deck, take on The Perfect Storm duo of high-speed waterslides, enjoy a vibrant Caribbean poolscape, and explore reimagined spaces for kids and teens, and more.
Dining onboard the Freedom of the Seas offers a wide mix of casual, classic, and speciality experiences, with plenty included in the fare.
Guests can enjoy complimentary options like Café Promenade for light bites, the main Dining Room for multi-course meals, Windjammer for buffet-style variety, Sorrento’s for pizza, and Solarium Bistro or El Loco Fresh for more relaxed, grab-and-go dining.
For something more elevated, speciality venues such as Chops Grille, Giovanni’s Table, and Chef’s Table deliver premium tasting experiences, while Izumi serves up Japanese cuisine and Johnny Rockets offers a fun, retro American diner vibe.
There’s also a lively social element with spots like Playmakers Sports Bar & Arcade, making dining onboard feel varied and far from repetitive.
