G Adventures has added 30 new trips to its 18-to-Thirtysomethings collection that are wallet-friendly with authentic experiences.
The company said in a statement that every trip has been crafted to align with what this age group craves from travelling, and each one is packed with one-of-a-kind experiences.
The G Adventures’ 18-to-Thirtysomething travel style is a collection of over 160 transformative trips, with more to come later this year.
The trips are geared towards younger, cost-conscious travellers who crave authentic interactions, social-worthy content and off-the-beaten path destinations, while treading the fine line of feeling independent but also connecting with fellow travellers.
Every trip features an out-of-the-ordinary experience that adds extra wow factor – think a homestay at a traditional hanok in South Korea, meeting the inspirational women behind small businesses in Pakistan or hiking to meet with local shepherds at a remote outpost in Albania.
True to G Adventures’ commitment to community tourism, every new trip gives travellers the chance to visit organisations, regions and businesses where knowledge-sharing with visitors has a profound positive impact.
Plus, as with all G Adventures trips, G Adventures’ Trees for Days initiative means that for each day away, a tree is grown in their name – an essential perk for these climate-conscious travellers.
Every new 18-to-Thirtysomethings trip from G Adventures is jam-packed with epic experiences; here are 10 of the most memory-making moments:
SOUTH KOREA
Sleeping in a traditional hanok (homestay) and spending time with Jeju island’s 80-year-old women divers.
For 18-to-Thirtysomething, living like a local is high on the priority list, and a homestay in a traditional hanok, a historic Korean house, gives an amazing insight into history and culture, all in one cosy overnight slumber.
Then there’s time watching the haenyeo – the legendary women divers of Jeju island, some of whom are over 80 years old – as they dive beneath the water’s surface, holding their breath for three minutes at a time, to collect molluscs and other shellfish.
From £2,349** pp for 15 days. Departures from 17 April
ALBANIA
Hiking to a shepherd outpost before a delicious traditional lunch.
Not just any walk: this trip includes a hike through herds of sheep and wildflower meadows to a remote shepherd outpost in the Albanian hills.
The group will spend a long sun-soaked morning living the authentic Albanian mountain life, before joining the local shepherds for lunch, tucking into a hearty traditional meal of local meats, cheese and freshly baked bread on the farm, all while learning about this way of life.
Plus: castle visits, visits to villages in the Albanian Alps and time Corfu island, Greece.
From £879** pp for 7 days, excluding international flights. Departures from 30 April
AUSTRALIA & NEW ZEALAND
Kangaroo trekking in bushland and time with a Maori guide in the Te Puia valley.
Kangaroos are a symbol of Australia and one of its most recognisable native animals, but seeing them in the wild isn’t always that easy. On this trip the group has the chance to spot kangaroos – and their young joeys – in their natural habitat during a trek through coastal bushland around Arrawarra.
Elsewhere, in Rotura, New Zealand, the group will meet a local Māori guide in the Te Puia thermal valley, one of the world’s most impressive geothermal wonderlands.
Over several hours, they’ll learn about the significance of the steaming geysers while eating a traditional kāinga waru pudding cooked in the natural hot spring.
From £5,599** pp for 38 days, excluding international flights. Departures from 12 April
GREECE
Sipping coffee at Shedia Home, hearing how the non-profit cafe provides purpose to those experiencing homelessness in Athens.
It’s a classic holiday destination, with a G Adventures twist. On a quest to show all sides of a country, this trip takes travellers to Shedia Home, a non-profit cafe in Athens where educational talks are given by the city’s residents who are experiencing homelessness.
The group’s visit also means that the organisation’s Invisible Tours, led by a guide experiencing homelessness, gets the extra eyeballs it needs. From here, it’s on to historical sites, sun-dappled beaches and tranquil olive groves in Corfu and Santorini.
From £1,999** for 12 days. Departures from 6 May.
The 30 new 18-to-Thirtysomethings trips are all available to book now, with the first departures taking place in 2025. * Prices exclude international flights.
