German National Tourist Board Launches New Global Campaign

The German National Tourist Board (GNTB) has launched a new global campaign, ‘Embrace German Nature’, directed toward international holidaymakers.

The campaign highlights Germany’s natural landscapes and sustainable holiday experiences in the country’s less-explored regions.

With the launch, the tourist board said that it is “committed to positioning Germany as a sustainable destination.”

Petra Hedorfer, Chair of the GNTB’s Executive Board said: “Against the backdrop of the two-year Corona pandemic, mindfulness, sustainability and the longing for intact nature have gained people’s appreciation.

“Embrace German Nature is a continuation of our marketing campaign, with which we repeatedly address ‘nature and recreation’ and ‘sustainability’ as the central elements of our brand

“According to IPK International, Germany is already ranked second as a nature destination among Europeans. And the Destination Brand 21 study by Inspektour shows that Germany is perceived as a very suitable destination for holidays in the countryside or sustainable holidays in important source markets for our incoming business.

“We want to further strengthen these positions by promoting holidays in rural regions, longer travel durations and sustainable travel enjoyment.”

Embrace German Nature’ will be launched as a digital campaign in April, featuring film and videos in 8D sound design.
