Guernsey Announces Search For Head Gardener

The islands of Guernsey is looking for one lucky individual to become Head Gardener, taking care of the vast woodlands and grasslands around the island.

Home to a landscape teeming with natural beauty, Guernsey is home to 65 residents. It’s a picturesque pocket of flora and fauna, surrounded by coastal pathways which overlook turquoise waters.

The verdant heathland boasts an array of wildflowers whilst the surrounding seas are home to dolphin pods, seals and even a puffin colony.

For those not interested in a permanent position, a visit for the weekend is ample time to explore the unspoilt beaches, sandy cliff paths and abundant wildlife on offer.

Visitors can complete the new Herm Island Nature Trail, walk in the footsteps of smugglers and princesses and even enjoy the taste of Herm’s very own golden ale.

Just 15 minutes by ferry from Guernsey, visitors to the isle can choose between a stay in the charming White House Hotel, a quaint cottage or a local campsite.

Dining options include the Mermaid Tavern, Ship Inn or The Conservatory, which can be enjoyed in between exploring the dramatic coastline and white sand beaches.
