Hawaiian Airlines Inc, an airline owned by Hawaiian Holding Inc., welcomed the summer vacation by increasing the frequency of flights from two to three times a week between 28th May and 13th August.
The plan follows the inauguration of non-stop service between Austin-Bergstrom International Airport in Austin, Texas, and Daniel K. Inouye International Airport in Honolulu, Hawaii, twice a week.
“We are very pleased to be the first airline to provide non-stop flights between Central Texas and Hawaii,” said Peter Ingram, President and CEO of Hawaiian Airlines in Honolulu, Thursday (22/4).
The volume of air passengers to the two destinations is expected to increase during the summer holidays as these areas are known for their great food, music, and art.
The arrival of Hawaiian Airlines to Austin is a sign of strong market confidence and the continuing recovery of the airline’s financial impact due to the pandemic.
“This is an important milestone for our airport and the Austin community,” said Jacqueline Yaft, CEO of Austin-Bergstrom International Airport.
