Heathrow Opens Dedicated Terminal for Red List Arrivals

International travel has marked its first week since reopening and upon review, Heathrow Airport has stated that those arriving from red list destinations will now head to a dedicated facility from 1st June.

The news follows criticism that red list destination arrivals were mixing with those arriving from green and amber list countries during border control.

The facility will initially operate in Terminal 3, before being moved to Terminal 4.

A Heathrow spokesperson said: “Red list routes will likely be a feature of UK travel for the foreseeable future as countries vaccinate their populations at different rates. We’re adapting Heathrow to this longer-term reality.”
