The Portuguese minister of state for foreign affairs has confirmed British tourists will be allowed to enter Portugal from Monday.
The decision was shared in a communication from the country’s tourist board which said restrictions will be relaxed from 00:00 on 17th May.
Any person entering Portugal must provide a negative RT-PCR test taken within 72 hours of departure.
João Fernandes, president of Algarve Tourism, added: “We look forward to welcoming British visitors again.”
