Islands of Guernsey: New Direct Flights & Ferry Access

Guernsey Aurigny
Share this:

The Islands of Guernsey have announced new flight routes and an all-new passenger ship making the Islands more accessible than ever before.

The Channel Islands’ very own airline, Aurigny, will begin new routes between Guernsey and the UK in 2024, making it even easier for British travellers to visit the beautiful island group.

From March 2024, travellers will be able to access Guernsey from London City and London Stansted, as well as from Liverpool and Newquay (during school holidays only), with flights also departing from Edinburgh from May 2024 onwards.

All flights will operate in addition to the regular schedules from London Gatwick, Manchester, Leeds Bradford, Southampton, East Midlands, Birmingham, Bristol and Exeter to Guernsey.

Travellers preferring to arrive by ferry can take advantage of Condor Ferries’ Summer 2024 timetable, which will be operating high-speed services from Poole to Guernsey up to six days per week, some of which will take just three hours.

Condor’s newest vessel, the Condor Islander, will also operate overnight crossings from the UK to the Islands, with a variety of accommodation options to include pet-friendly cabins, a first for Condor.

The Islander will also offer restaurants, a shop and lounge facilities, as well as a children’s play area on board to keep little travellers entertained.

Exciting events will take place on the Islands of Guernsey in 2024 including:

Yoga Retreat (12-15 April, 17-19 May and 4-6 October): island of Sark in Stocks Hotel.

The Guernsey Marathon: 14 April

Spring Walking Festival (25 May-9 June)

Guernsey Together Festival (25-26 May 2024)

SarkFest (5-7 July)

Alderney Week (5-10 August)

The North Show (21-22 August)

The annual Autumn Walking Festival (14-29 September)

Getting There:

With flight times from UK as little as 40 minutes and ferry sailings from three hours, visitors can opt to take the ferry over the Channel from Poole or Portsmouth or fly directly from the UK with Aurigny Airlines.

Aurigny operate year-round direct flights to Guernsey from London, East Midlands, Manchester, Birmingham, Bristol, Exeter, Southampton and Dublin.

New flight routes to Guernsey from London Stansted, London City, Edinburgh, Liverpool and Newquay will begin operation in spring 2024.
