Japan Airlines reopened its historic flight route from Haneda International Airport (Tokyo) to Sheremetyevo International Airport (Moscow) last Friday. The route was first opened in 1967.
The reopening of the route allows passengers to make convenient flight connections, not only in Russia and Europe but also to destinations in Japan, Asia, and Oceania, the US, and Canada.
“We are proud that Japan’s national airline, the five-star recipient of Skytrax, has selected Sheremetyevo for the further development of its air traffic,” said AO Nikulin, First Deputy Director General of Production JSC SIA.
Sheremetyevo International Airport is a recognized leader in Europe in quality of service and Russia’s strongest international hub in terms of terminal infrastructure and airport complex capacity.
Takeshi Kodama, Vice President and Regional Manager for Japan Airlines for Russia and the CIS, expressed his pleasure to open a new page of Japan Airlines traffic between Tokyo and Moscow by relaunching the historic route.
