Just Go! Holidays has expanded its 2027 astronomy programme with a new astronomy and astrophotography escape to Tenerife, guided by the BBC’s ‘Sky at Night’ astronomer Pete Lawrence.

The seven-day trip will combine dramatic volcanic landscapes, high-altitude observatories and unforgettable night-sky experiences with a relaxing beach stay on the island.
Astronomy-lovers will spend two nights in the heart of Teide National Park, which at over 2,000 metres above sea level, is one of Europe’s premier stargazing locations.
Dedicated solar viewing and photography sessions at the Izana Observatory will reveal the Sun in extraordinary detail, while evening experiences will showcase distant galaxies, nebulae and star clusters against a pristine dark-sky backdrop.
The stay on Mount Teide is combined with four nights spent relaxing by the coast in Playa de las Américas.

The trip costs from £2,379 per person, including return flights from London Gatwick, on 27 January 2027, overseas transfers, two nights at the Parador de la Cañadas de Teide, and four nights at the H10 Conquistador, Playa de las Americas, both with dinner and breakfast.
Also included is one additional lunch at the Parador and one at a local restaurant, presentations and experiences with Pete Lawrence, a visit to the Izana Observatory, plus excursions to Mount Teide, Icod de los Vinos, Garachico and Los Gigantes.
Regional departures from Manchester, Birmingham and Leeds Bradford are also on offer for a supplement.
