Marella Cruises is expanding its Mediterranean excursion programme with nine* new offerings allowing customers a chance to ride a tuk-tuk through the coastal city of Olbia in Sardinia and experience the ultimate food tour in Athens.

With Marella Discovery 2 homeporting out of Palma for the summer season, these nine new excursions from Marella Cruises will offer its customers a chance to see Greece and Italy along the Mediterranean Sea in new ways, such as exploring the Amalfi Coast in one day with stops to Pompeii, Ravello and Amalfi.

The Essence of Olbia by Tuk Tuk
Customers will explore Olbia’s historic centre by tuk tuk, offering an engaging and time-efficient way to discover the city’s key highlights.
The route takes in a mix of cultural landmarks and local character, including the Basilica of San Simplicio, a well-preserved Romanesque church that reflects Olbia’s medieval heritage, and the Church of San Paolo, known for its distinctive colourful dome. The experience continues through Parco Fausto Noce, one of the city’s key green spaces.

Pompeii, Ravello & Amalfi – Scenic Minivan Tour
Customers will experience three of southern Italy’s most iconic destinations in a single day on this small-group minivan excursion from Naples. The tour begins in Pompeii, where customers will have free time to explore the archaeological site and gain insight into life in the ancient Roman city.
The journey continues to Ravello, a hilltop town known for its panoramic coastal views and historic architecture, before concluding in Amalfi, where customers can enjoy time at leisure to explore the cathedral, seafront and local shops. This itinerary combines historical discovery with coastal scenery, supported by the comfort and flexibility of a premium small-group format.

A Taste of Athens
Customers will enjoy a guided experience combining Athens’ historic centre with a curated introduction to Greek cuisine. The tour includes a panoramic drive from Piraeus into the city, passing key landmarks and central squares before arriving in Plaka, one of Athens’ most historic neighbourhoods.
Here, customers will walk through its streets while sampling a selection of traditional Greek specialities, including savoury pies, loukoumades, loukoumi, Greek coffee and souvlaki. The experience concludes with free time for independent exploration, shopping or relaxation before return.
