With spring in full swing, the city comes alive with a rich mix of experiences, from a vibrant lineup of live music throughout April to exceptional seasonal gastronomy as fresh local produce comes into its own.

For something truly unique, visitors can also take part in a vermouth tasting and workshop set within a historic orange grove.

Land in Valencia via new flight routes

WizzAir is launching two new flight routes to Valencia from London. London Luton to Valencia launched on Sunday 29 March and runs x5 weekly flights to the city from as little as £17.99 each way. This is the first direct link to Luton and further bolsters Valencia’s connectivity to the UK and Ireland.

Hot on the heels of the Luton launch, a new Valencia-London Gatwick route took off on Monday, 30 March. Also operated by WizzAir, the service will run five times weekly, with fares starting from just £16.09 each way.

Direct flights to Valencia are now available from 11 UK and Irish airports, including Birmingham, Bristol, Dublin, Manchester and London’s Gatwick, Heathrow and Stansted. With average flight times of under three hours, Valencia is an ideal choice for a short city break with lots of exciting events in store for spring.

Enjoy the flavours of spring

Known as the breadbasket of Valencia, the farmland of La Huerta comes into bloom, which supplies the city’s rich foodie scene and many markets with seasonal produce.

This abundance is reflected in the city’s cuisine, from traditional rice dishes like paella and fresh salads to sweet treats enjoyed during festivals, making spring one of the most vibrant times to experience Valencia’s food culture.

Visitors can also enjoy the flavours of Valencia with a vermouth tasting and workshop. Located in Huerto Ribera, a historic orange grove just outside of the city, visitors can discover the spirit’s origins and create their own artisanal blend.

Discover live music and concerts

The city comes alive with music in spring, offering something for every taste. Visitors can enjoy the free “A Lake of Concerts” series in April, where Berklee students showcase a wide range of musical styles, or soak up the lively atmosphere at the Marina with ticketed DJ sessions like Tardeo al Veles.

For a more unique experience, Secret Concerts hosts intimate performances on the last Saturday of each month, where ticket holders only discover the location 24 hours in advance and the artist during the concert itself.
