Riviera Travel launched a dedicated Facebook community to provide agents and guests with direct access to the latest river cruise updates, expert guidance and real-time support during ongoing low water conditions across parts of the Rhine and Danube.

The new Facebook group, Riviera Travel Official – Low Water Updates, has been created to give guests and agents a trusted source of information, alongside the operator’s River Cruise Update Centre, offering timely updates, videos from senior leaders and answers to frequently asked questions
The move follows growing guest demand for direct updates and reflects Riviera Travel’s commitment to transparent, proactive communication throughout the low water situation.
Internal feedback has shown guests were actively seeking information and reassurance online, with the new community providing a dedicated space for Riviera to engage directly and answer questions
Vicky Billing, Trade, Partnerships and Loyalty Director, Riviera Travel, said: “Throughout this period we’ve learnt that guests and agent partners want more than updates. They want transparency, reassurance and the opportunity to ask questions directly.
“Our new Facebook community allows us to do exactly that, bringing agents closer to the latest information while giving them access to the people making decisions behind the scenes.
“We’re already seeing fantastic engagement, and while we originally launched the group to support guests during the current low water conditions, we believe it has the potential to become a long-term community.”
The group complements Riviera Travel’s wider communication programme, including its enhanced River Cruise Update Centre, 72-hour outlook and Five-Point Promise, all designed to give agents and guests greater clarity and confidence when planning their holidays.
