New Shoulder Season Tours By Iceland Travel

Iceland Travel has launched new tours designed to inspire shoulder season travel.

From exploring the wonders of Kerlingarfjöll to traversing the awe-inspiring landscapes of the highlands, travellers will be able to fully immerse themselves in the beauty of Iceland with these carefully crafted itineraries.

Kerlingarfjöll Deluxe Winter Highland Adventure

During this three-day experience, participants can discover the beauty of the rainbow coloured Kerlingarfjöll mountains, formed by volcanic activity 10,000 years ago.

Upon arrival at Reykjavík Bus Terminal, guests enjoy a pleasant transfer as they take in the winter landscapes before being transferred to a special wilderness Superjeep designed to tackle the highland mountain roads.

Once settled at their accommodation, travellers are free to delight in exhilarating outdoor activities such as snowmobiling, backcountry skiing and cross-country skiing.

The final day will allow participants time to savour the last views of the wilderness as they adventure back through the breathtaking highlands.

The Kerlingarfjöll Deluxe Winter Highland Adventure is available from 1/10/25 to 31/05/26 and priced from £792.

This includes a two night stay in a deluxe room at the Highland Base Hotel, breakfast, one three-course dinner, entrance to the highland geothermal baths, storytelling session with a complimentary drink and 24-hour Iceland Travel emergency assistance whilst in the destination. The tour is also available for a maximum of 16 pax.

Hidden Powers & Midnight Sun

Those looking to see the very best of Iceland will be able to do so on this five-day adventure exploring the South Coast region.

A great introduction to the land of fire and ice, the tour includes visiting famous sites such as the Geysir, Gullfoss waterfall and Eyjafjallajökull volcano.

Guests can meet Icelandic horses at a traditional farm before taking a leisurely dip in the famous Blue Lagoon – an incredible wonder of nature with pleasantly warm, mineral-rich water in the middle of a black lava field.

Those looking to immerse themselves in the local life will also enjoy a trip to the Smiðjan Brugghús Icelandic brewpub, where they will get to taste the delicious beer and learn the secrets of how it’s made.

The Hidden Powers & the Midnight Sun tour is available until 18/09/2025 and priced from £1,629.

This includes accommodation, breakfast, two two-course local cuisine dinners with coffee or tea, a visit to the outdoor geothermal bakery, blue lagoon admission, a visit to a local horse farm,  beer tasting at a local microbrewery and 24 hour Iceland Travel emergency assistance whilst in the destination The tour is also available for a maximum of 16 pax.
