Newmarket Holidays has added to its tour & cruise collection with an 18-day adventure exploring the Panama Canal, Costa Rica and the southern Caribbean.
The fully packaged holiday is unique to Newmarket Holidays and combines a 12-night full board cruise with four nights in an oceanfront Fort Lauderdale hotel.
There are guided day trips to Miami Beach and Little Havana, and the option of tours to the Everglades and Palm Beach.
After two days relaxing on the Florida Coast, guests cruise to the Bahamas to enjoy Half Moon City, a private island with pristine white sands.
They’ll then head south to palm-studded Curacao, on to the Colombian port city of Cartagena, and then into the Panama Canal.
The cruise spends a day exploring Central America’s famous waterway, passing through the canal’s impressive series of locks on to Gatun Lake, once the world’s largest man-made body of water and now home to an array of wildlife that includes American crocodiles, sloths and monkeys.
Guests then glide past Panama City, where modern skyscrapers blend with the centuries-old architecture of Casco Viejo, the city’s historic Spanish old town.
Following an about-turn, the cruise visits Puerto Limón on Costa Rica’s rich Caribbean coast, and George Town, the capital of the Cayman Islands, before returning to Fort Lauderdale.
