Qatar Airways has been crowned World’s Best Airline for the 6th consecutive year at the 2021 Skytrax World Airline Awards with Singapore Airlines coming in second, ANA AI Nippon Airways third followed by Emirates in fourth and Japan Airlines in fifth place.
Qatar Airways also won World’s Best Business Class, World’s Best Business Class Seat, Best Airline in the Middle East, World’s Best Business Class Airline Lounge and Best Business Class Onboard Catering.
Singapore Airlines emerged victorious as Best Airline in Asia, Best Cabin Crew, World’s Best First Class, World’s Best First Class Seat and Best Economy Class Onboard Catering while ANA Al Nippon Airways received recognition as the World’s Cleanest Airline Cabins, World’s Best Airport Services, Best Airline Staff in Asia and Best First Class Lounge in Asia.
UK’s own British Airways was number 11 on the list and won Best Airline in the United Kingdom, Best Airline Staff in Europe and Best Premium Economy Onboard Catering.
Winners are voted for by travellers via a customer survey, which this time ran from September 2019 to July 2021 where 350 airlines
