The brand offers premium, small-group adventures built around iconic trains and scenic European routes, combining comfort, connection, and discovery for travellers who want to experience more than just the destination.
Entering a booming market where 75% of travellers in their fifties maintain travel bucket lists, RailRocker said it caters to those seeking “once-in-a-lifetime” experiences with meaning.
The company’s nine and ten-day itineraries start from £6,200, designed to celebrate the romance of rail travel with a modern, social twist.
Co-Founder Carl Cronje said: “We’ve created these journeys for people who want to feel a connection with the world around them, not just see it from a distance.
“Our trips are for travellers who want to see a country fully and not just fly over it. Rather than only seeing a place from the sky or a motorway, guests can see the beauty of the countryside.
“In a world that moves faster than the speed of light, RailRocker allows you to take a breath and experience all a country has to offer.”
RailRocker’s launch marks the next chapter in premium experiential travel. Visitors to the Tour Axis stand can explore the new itineraries and meet Co-founder Carl Cronje, who will share insight into the growing rail travel movement and how RailRocker bridges luxury and adventure.
RailRocker’s first collection of journeys spans Europe’s most iconic routes:
- Swiss Peaks & Panoramas (9 days) – Ride the world-famous Glacier Express and explore the Matterhorn region.
- European Icons (10 days) – Travel through France, Italy, and Switzerland, combining historic rail lines with vibrant local culture.
- Japan Discovery (Coming Soon) – A cultural and scenic rail experience through Japan’s countryside and cities.
Guests travel in small groups of 6–24 people, staying in centrally located 4-star+ hotels and enjoying authentic local dining and expert-led excursions, from dinner at Europe’s highest restaurant to exploring the ethereal Glacier Palace ice sculptures.
“This brand culminates our passion for travel and deep belief that the journey is just as important as the destination,” adds co-founder Jakes Maritz.
“We’ve designed every detail to ensure our guests don’t just see the world but truly experience its magic, one rail at a time.
“Guests can enjoy unique experiences in every place, with expert guides revealing the hidden gems and communities behind the postcard.
“Then, at the end of each new experience, guests can travel in luxury and view the beautiful countryside before their next big adventure.”
The Rise of Rail Travel
As the global appetite for scenic and sustainable travel grows, interest in rail journeys is increasing at a faster rate than ever.
According to Google Trends, there has been a 58% global rise in searches for ‘rail travel’, a 118% global rise in searches for ‘rail travel holidays’, and a 41% increase in UK searches over the past year.
The trend is particularly strong among the 50+ travel market. More than 60% of Gen Xers planning vacations do so specifically to de-stress and escape everyday pressures. A striking 84% want to try something new on holiday.
The luxury rail sector itself has seen 30% annual growth, as travellers embrace slower, more intentional ways to explore the world.
RailRocker sits at the centre of this movement, designed for those who want to travel with purpose, connect with others, and rediscover the joy of the journey, all without compromising on comfort.
