Riviera Travel’s brand new river cruise ship, MS Riviera Rose, has completed her first sailing through Portugal. The luxurious five-star ship has just completed its first sailing during an 8-day itinerary through the Douro Valley and on the Salamanca River.
Setting off from Porto on Tuesday, April 15th, the MS Riviera Rose sailed through breathtaking scenery including stunning riverside towns, vineyards and cathedrals.
Cultural and culinary activities of the Highlights of the Douro Valley and Salamanca River Cruise itinerary include visits to Porto’s old town, Mateus Palace and Castelo Rodrigo, as well as port and wine tastings, and an excursion to the historic town of Salamanca, Spain.
Prices for this enchanting river cruise start at £2,199 pp based on two people sharing.

Boasting brand new interiors with traditional yet modern features, guests can enjoy meals in the main restaurant as well as al fresco dining options, sip on cocktails in the Atrium Bar and soak up the views from the Rio Restaurant, get active in the fitness room or catch some rays on the sun deck by the pool.
The spectacular ship has 57 cabins spread across three decks, including four Diamond Deck Balcony Suites with outside seating.
Standard cabins feature French balconies with sliding doors and relaxing inside sitting areas, with all accommodation offering individually controlled air-conditioning, a contemporary bathroom with rain shower, and double or twin beds.
Cruise prices are per person and include:
