Riviera Travel has launched its European river cruise programme for 2025.
A media briefing held yesterday with members of the press, Will Sarson & Thomas Morgan from Riviera Travel revealed the following:
- River cruise prices are held at 2024 rates
- A total of 16 itineraries are available to book now
- 261 departures will be on offer, sailing from March to November
- Includng 15 dedicated to solo travellers and 32 new themed itineraries
- Eurostar options and departures from regional airports will be available.
The itineraries cover countries such as France, Germany, Portugal, Austria, Switzerland, Hungary and the Netherlands, and include:
The Blue Danube. An eight-day sailing featuring seven tours and visits including guided tours of Vienna, Salzburg or Linz, Dürnstein, Budapest and Bratislava; and visits to Esztergom Basilica and Melk Abbey. From £1599pp.
The Douro, Porto and Salamanca. An eight-day cruise featuring eight guided visits and tours including tour, lunch and a flamenco show in Salamanca; a guided tour of Porto with a port wine cellar visit; dinner at a typical Portuguese quinta; and visits to Castelo Rodrigo, Mateus Palace gardens and Lamego. The Seine, Paris & Normandy. An eight-day sailing featuring nine tours and visits including guided tours of the Château Gaillard in Les Andelys, the Place du Vieux-Marché in Rouen; and visits to Bayeaux Tapestry, Monet’s house and Gardens, the Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe, Champs Elysees and Sacre-Coeur. Burgundy, the River Rhone & Provence. An eight-day sailing featuring seven tours and visits including a wine tasting in Beaune; visits to the Palace of the Popes; a guided tour of Lyon; and a sailing through Ardèche Gorges. From £1499pp.
Rhine Cruise to Switzerland. An eight-day sailing featuring seven tours and visits including guided tours of Strasbourg, Koblenz, Rüdesheim and Speyer; a visit to Titisee in the Black Forest; a railway journey up the Bernese Oberland Mountain range; plus an onboard live classical quartet recital. In response to inquiries about the possibility of expanding their Asia river cruise offerings, Will said: “Riviera is looking at opportunities to expand its worldwide cruise offering. It is not launching anything immediately.”
