The launch gives agents more to sell across long-haul, with Riviera’s trade sales in the category already up 10% year-on-year and agents accounting for 32% of long-haul bookings so far this year.
With its 2028 programme on sale earlier than ever before, agents will have more time to engage customers planning worldwide holidays further in advance.
Vicky Billing, Director of Trade, Partnerships, and Loyalty UK & Ireland at Riviera Travel said:
“The trade continues to play a hugely important role in our long-haul business, accounting for 32% of long-haul bookings so far this year, with long-haul trade sales increasing by 10% year-on-year.
“By launching our 2028 programme earlier than ever, we give our agent partners more time to engage guests and secure bookings further in advance.
These new itineraries give agents fresh opportunities to start conversations with guests and respond to growing demand for worldwide touring, while offering the level of product choice and support they need to grow their long-haul sales.”
Christian Locke, Head of Long Haul at Riviera Travel said:
“Our long-haul collection continues to evolve as we expand the range of destinations and experiences available to our guests.
“The addition of Indonesia, French Canada and Patagonia introduces three very distinct touring experiences, from glaciers and icefields to volcanic landscapes and characterful cities, giving guests even more choice for their Riviera holiday.
“Each itinerary has been designed to showcase a different side of its destination, whether that’s exploring Indonesia beyond Bali, or a two-night stay at Niagara Falls, or discovering Patagonia across both Argentina and Chile.
“Together, they strengthen our worldwide portfolio and respond to growing demand for immersive long-haul travel.”
The 2028 portfolio features three new worldwide destinations, offering a mix of cultural discovery, spectacular natural scenery, and immersive touring experiences:
Patagonia: Argentina, Chile & the End of the World – 16 Days – from £6,599pp

A new 16-day Signature tour combining the vibrant cities of Buenos Aires and Santiago with the dramatic landscapes of Patagonia.
Guests will experience some of South America’s most iconic natural wonders, including the Perito Moreno, Upsala and Spegazzini glaciers, Torres del Paine National Park and Tierra del Fuego, alongside a stay in Ushuaia, the world’s southernmost city, often referred to as the ‘end of the world’.
For Agents: Why Riviera?
- Exclusivity: With demand for South America holidays continuing to grow, Riviera gives agents a rarer, more distinctive touring option to sell, bringing Patagonia into focus as an underrepresented escorted touring destination.
- Bucket List Appeal: Patagonia is widely considered a top global bucket-list destination for its ancient geology and thriving wildlife, undisturbed due to its isolation.
- The End of the World: As the world’s southernmost city, Ushuaia is one of the closest gateways to Antarctica, creating a compelling story for customers and helping agents sell an experience rather than simply a destination.
Best of Indonesia: Temples, Volcanoes & Islands – 15 Days – from £3,999pp

A new 15-day Signature tour that showcases the diversity of the world’s largest archipelago, taking guests from the cultural landmarks of Java and the volcanic landscapes of Mount Bromo to the wildlife-rich islands of Komodo National Park and the shores of Bali.
Distinctive experiences include a hands-on batik workshop, a traditional cooking class in Flores, a street food tour in Yogyakarta and the opportunity to see Komodo dragons in their natural habitat, offering a more immersive introduction to Indonesia than traditional Bali-focused itineraries.
For Agents: Why Riviera?
- Exclusivity: Riviera has combined Java, Flores, Komodo National Park, and Bali in a single itinerary, a route that few escorted tours cover.
- Beyond Bali: Riviera’s tour offers a more comprehensive introduction to Indonesia than traditional Bali-focused holidays.
- From Exploration to Relaxation: Dedicated downtime in Ubud and Sanur before flying home allows guests to unwind after their journey, balancing immersive touring with a relaxing finale.
French Canada & Niagara Falls – 10 Days – from £3,949pp

A new 10-day Classic tour showcasing the heritage, culture and natural beauty of Eastern Canada, taking guests from the historic streets of Quebec City and Montreal to Ottawa, Toronto and Niagara Falls.
Distinctive experiences include a traditional sugar shack lunch, a cruise through the Thousand Islands, wine tasting in Niagara-on-the-Lake and an overnight stay at Niagara Falls with included Fallsview rooms, offering a more immersive introduction to the region than traditional cross-Canada itineraries.
For Agents: Why Riviera?
- East vs West: For guests who have already experienced Riviera’s Rockies and Western Canada tours, this tour gives agents a natural follow-up sale centred on Canada’s French heritage, landmark cities and Niagara Falls.
- Premium Niagara Trip: Instead of a day visit to Niagara, Riviera offers a two-night stay at Niagara, with a guaranteed Fallsview room and boat cruise to the base of the falls.
- Built-In Value: With 10 included experiences, agents can sell a richer, more comprehensive French Canada itinerary covering guided city tours, scenic cruising, wine tasting and local culture.
Alongside the launch of its three new long-haul tours, Riviera Travel has also introduced solo-focused versions of three existing itineraries, tailored for customers seeking the reassurance of escorted touring with the independence of solo travel:
Highlights of China for Solo Travellers – 13 Days – from £4,619pp
Victoria Falls, Botswana Safari & Cape Town for Solo Travellers – 11 Days – from £4,749pp
The Silk Road for Solo Travellers – 10 Days – from £4,429pp
With this launch, Riviera Travel reinforces its leadership in long-haul touring. The six additions take Riviera’s long-haul portfolio to 46 tours, alongside 19 dedicated solo tours operating across 38 destinations,
Agents can book Riviera Travel’s 2028 long-haul programme now, giving customers early access to the operator’s latest worldwide itineraries and solo-focused options.
