Royal Caribbean International has announced its second annual Seminar at Sea for travel agents across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

The immersive training programme in May will welcome as many as 400 new-to-cruise or new-to-brand agents on Oasis of the Seas for four nights to gain firsthand experience in what Royal Caribbean holidays are all about.

From Barcelona, Spain, to Rome from 5 to 9 May, agents can experience the seminar’s customised training sessions that will be available in six languages: French, German, Italian, Spanish, Norwegian and English.

The sessions will be interactive and include activities, from roleplaying to quizzes that will give agents insight as well as tools and resources they can leverage to plan the ultimate holiday for their clients.

Agents will also discover signature thrills, ways to chill and experiences for all ages on Oasis, which marks the European debut of the ship’s amplified adventures.

Highlights include the Caribbean-inspired pool deck, complete with the Perfect Storm trio of waterslides and Splashaway Bay kids aquapark, the Ultimate Abyss, a 10-storey dry slide; and Spotlight Karaoke.

When it comes to show-stopping entertainment, attendees will be able to marvel at full-scale productions across four stages: air, ice, water and theatre.

This includes the world-renowned Broadway favourite “Cats” and the high-diving AquaTheater spectacular, “Aqua80.”

Plus, for the first time, participants will be able to experience shore excursions at select destinations.

Ben Bouldin, Vice President of Europe, the Middle East and Africa at Royal Caribbean International, said:

“It’s been fantastic to see so many new faces join the travel industry since last year’s Seminar at Sea, and we want to continue to give agents a chance to dive into the memorable holidays we’re known for.

“Gaining firsthand experience and insight into the value of a holiday that truly has something for everyone and any occasion is an incredible sales tool, and coupling this with the in-depth education they’ll receive on board, the Seminar at Sea will set them up for success in crafting the best holidays for their clients.”

Seminar at Sea is one of a line-up of initiatives Royal Caribbean has in place to continue providing agents a high level of support in 2024 and beyond.

The cruise line has also announced plans for a series of training sessions, Café Royal digital drop-in sessions, competitions and more that will become available throughout the year via its innovative rewards and learning platform.
