Royal Caribbean International has announced its biggest-ever Seminar at Sea programme and its first for travel agents across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
Designed exclusively for those new to cruising or the brand, the experience will take place from 7-11 May this year, with 400 agents on Symphony of the Seas for four nights to gain first-hand experience of a Royal Caribbean holiday.
Agents can expect to experience going head-to-head in glow-in-the-dark laser tag, taking the plunge down the Ultimate Abyss, a 10-storey dry slide or catching waves on the FlowRider surf simulator.
Royal Caribbean said in a statement that the Seminar at Sea programme is an immersive training event, which takes place on board a Royal Caribbean ship and provides agents with first-hand experience of the cruise line’s holidays as well as critical training.
Agents will participate in customised training sessions that will equip them with knowledge of the products, brand and more in six languages, including French, German, Italian, Spanish, Swedish and English.
The sessions will be interactive, with activities from roleplaying to quizzes and give agents insight into what guests experience on an iconic Royal Caribbean cruise.
Come the evening, attendees can enjoy world-class onboard entertainment including Broadway shows and original productions across ice, water, stage and air.
Leading up to the event, the cruise line will also randomly select one lucky agent and treat them to the luxe Royal Suite Class experience with an upgrade to one of Royal Caribbean’s renowned suites for the cruise.
Ben Bouldin, Vice President of Europe, Middle East and Africa at Royal Caribbean International, said:
“It’s been fantastic to see so many new faces join the travel industry over the last year or so, and we want to give agents a chance to dive into the memorable holidays we’re known for at Royal Caribbean.
“First-hand experience is an incredible sales tool, and coupling this with the in-depth education they’ll receive on board, the Seminar at Sea will set them up for success in crafting the best family experiences for their clients.”
Stuart Byron, Director of Sales for UK, Ireland and Spain at Royal Caribbean International, said:
“One of the best ways we can support our travel partners in selling Royal Caribbean cruises is to give them a taste of the experience.
“This Seminar at Sea is an incredible opportunity to educate and develop relationships like never before – with a good dose of thrill and chill along the way.”
This Seminar at Sea is just one of Royal Caribbean’s initiatives to continue offering agents a high level of support. To find out more, agents can reach out to their Royal Caribbean representative.
