Royal Caribbean Begins Construction On7th Oasis Class Ship

Royal Caribbean has marked the first of many milestones for the seventh Oasis Class ship in the fleet.

The first piece of steel was cut for the next in the revolutionary Oasis Class lineup of game-changing ships that first redefined the industry more than a decade ago. The soon-to-be-named cruise ship is officially on its way toward its bold introduction in 2028.

To kick off the exciting journey for the newest ship, a steel-cutting ceremony was held at the Chantiers de l’Atlantique shipyard in Saint-Nazaire, France.

Representatives from Royal Caribbean and Chantiers de l’Atlantique attended the milestone event to commemorate the moment alongside the teams of innovators, naval engineers, architects, designers and more working to bring lucky number seven to life.

From the original Oasis of the Seas to the ultimate short getaway on Utopia of the Seas, the evolution continues for the record-setting Oasis Class with the seventh in the lineup set to deliver unparalleled experiences across thrills and chill; ways to dine, drink and celebrate; show-stopping entertainment and more to be revealed.

More details about the seventh Oasis Class vacation, including its name, will be shared at a later date.
