Royal Caribbean has updated its vaccination requirements.
Vaccination documents will no longer be required to board sailings departing from home ports in Europe and select US ports that set sail on September 5 or later.
Guests only need to disclose their vaccination status during check-in.
Royal Caribbean said in a statement that it recommends all eligible guests to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
Guests are also advised to bring along proof of vaccination in case authorities or local businesses in a destination request to see it.
For the best European cruise experience, Royal Caribbean strongly recommends guests be “up to date” on their COVID-19 vaccination per the European Medicines Agency (EMA) as some of the destinations will require this for guests to go ashore.
Those who do not meet these requirements may require additional testing onboard at their own expense prior to going ashore in certain ports.
Pre-cruise testing protocols will remain the same.
