Ryanair is celebrating 20 years at Newcastle International Airport.
To commemorate the milestone, the airline is offering promotional fares from Newcastle from just £19.99, valid for all bookings made before 31 January 2023.
The airline began flying from Newcastle to Dublin in 2003, just 17 days after the route was announced in December 2002.
Last year, Ryanair opened a new base at Newcastle International Airport, adding 14 new Ryanair destinations including Ibiza, Fuerteventura, Gran Canaria, Milan and Krakow.
This year, Ryanair will operate flights to 21 destinations from Newcastle, including Chania, Milan Bergamo, Riga and Zadar, with a new service to Shannon due to start in March 2023.
Since 2003, Ryanair has served over 5 million passengers to and from Newcastle.
This year up to 1 million passengers are expected to fly to and from Newcastle International Airport with Ryanair. The airline also employs 100 people at the region’s largest Airport.
