Saga Holidays has announced that it has seen a 44% year-on-year increase in bookings for its themed Special Interest holidays, which encompass everything from exploring the archaeology of Crete to playing bridge in Tenerife.

The company’s new 2026 Special Interest Holidays brochure increases the collection by 13 to a total of 48, giving customers even more opportunity to indulge their passions – or prove the adage that it’s never too late in life to try something new.
Saga Holidays says demand for its Special Interest holidays has grown significantly in the last 12 months, on top of a two-thirds increase in bookings in 2024.
With this new collection, Saga is aiming to capitalise further on a trend highlighted in recent YouGov research which showed that more than 65% of British travellers agreed with the statement that “I like to come back from holiday having learnt something new”.
Last year, Saga’s most popular Special Interest Holidays were from its walking, food and drink, and gardens portfolios.
