Newmarket Holidays has launched its first tour to Australasia with a 21-day escorted getaway to the North and South Islands of New Zealand.
Designed to showcase New Zealand’s spectacular landscapes of subtropical islands, national parks, glaciers and fiords, the guided itinerary takes guests to the country’s most iconic sites and major cities, and includes an array of optional extras that allow guests to personalise their experience.
Highlights include tours of Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch and Dunedin, a day-long cruise through the Bay of Islands, a scenic drive to Rotorua, renowned for its rich Maori culture, a cruise around Milford Sound fjord, and a cruise and hike through the celebrated Abel Tasman National Park.
Smaller-scale experiences include the National Kiwi Hatchery, tasting at a Marlborough winery, punting along the River Avon in Christchurch, and a subterranean adventure through Te Anau’s sprawling cave system.
Guests have the option of discovering their inner Hobbit on the Lord of the Rings film set, flying over Mount Cook, wildlife spotting at the Royal Albatross Colony and taking a cruise onboard a coal-fired steamship.
Prices start from £7,151 per person, with a 10% saving, and include 17 nights bed & breakfast accommodation, return flights from Birmingham, Heathrow or Manchester.
Also included are guided tours, transfers and internal flights, with a choice of two September and November departures in 2026, and eight departures through 2027.
