Scenic Introduces Culinary-Themed Rhone River Cruise

Chef Raymond Blanc will join guests of Scenic Luxury Cruises and Tours on a culinary-themed river cruise onboard the Scenic Sapphire this summer.

Guests can look forward to indulging in the regional delicacies of Raymond’s homeland when joining cruising along the historic Rhône.

The eight-day Tastes of the Rhône river cruise sets sail from Lyon to Marseille on 14 July 2022, with prices starting from £2,995 per person. Save up to £500 per person when booking and paying in full before 31 March 2022.

This special itinerary is in partnership with Tripsmiths, and guests will join Raymond for an interactive cookery demonstration, a Q&A session, complimentary book signing, and an exquisite dinner selected by Raymond himself.

A world-famous chef, Raymond Blanc has brought his passion for French cuisine to the world’s attention with his best-selling books, television programmes and restaurant & brasseries.

His Le Manoir restaurant has trained over 35 Michelin starred chefs, including Marco Pierre White and Michael Caines.

The cruise starts out in Lyon through to the south of France where guests will meet a local truffle farmer in Mâcon, taste regional delicacies at an olive farm in Les Baux and shop with a Scenic chef at Avignon market.

Guests will also be invited into the kitchen onboard the Scenic Sapphire and sample some of the most celebrated wines in the world, such as Châteauneuf-du-Pape from a Côtes du Rhône vineyard or the vintages of the ‘Golden Stone’ region of Beaujolais.

Scenic will also launch its highly anticipated culinary cruise in the Bordeaux winemaking region this year starting with the 11-day Flavours of Bordeaux river cruise.

Prices start from £3,195 per person departing 25 May 2022 onboard Scenic Diamond.
