Scenic Puts Cycle Excursions For Tour de France On Offer

Scenic Luxury Cruises & Tours is now offering a range of cycling excursions coinciding with the Tour de France.

Scenic’s luxury 5-star Space-Ships have a host of bikes and e-bikes that allow guests to explore a range of cycling routes around France.

After time exploring France, Scenic’s guests can relax and enjoy the amenities on offer on the luxury river ships, including a vitality pool, sun deck and a range of exclusive dining venues.

Guests keen to explore France on two wheels can enjoy one of the following voyages with Scenic in 2023:

On the 8-Day Bordeaux Affair sailing, guests can peddle around Médoc countryside to the aristocratic Château d’Agassac.

Later, in Bourg, guests can cycle along the Captain’s Road, which is a beautiful riverside route through villages named in honour of WWI captains.

A fine wine tasting at the Grand Cru Classé estate of Château La Tour Blanche awaits following a bike ride through the rolling vineyards of Sauternes.

In Bordeaux, guests can join a guided cycle tour through the city, recreating the final section of Stage 7, which culminates in the city.

This 8-day cruise sails on a roundtrip from Bordeaux, this voyage calls in at Saint-Émilion, Libourne, Blaye, Fort Medoc and Cadillac, with prices starting from £2,845pp based on an 11 July 2023 departure date on board Scenic Diamond.

On the 11-Day Spectacular South of France voyage, in Tain l’Hermitage, guests can enjoy a guided cycling tour along the Rhône to explore neighbouring villages and in Arles.

Guests can then hop back into the saddle and cycle the streets of the charming medieval city of Tarascon, following the tyre marks of the 2022 Tour’s peloton, who cycled this route last year.

This 11-day sailing journeys on a roundtrip from Lyon, and calls in at Tournus, Chalon-sur-Saône, Tain l’Hermitage, Avignon, Arles and Viviers.

Prices start from £3,800pp based on a 4 July 2023 departure on board the Scenic Sapphire.

The 11-Day Normandy & Gems of the Seine voyage includes a bicycle tour through the village of Les Andelys, which sits on the banks of the Seine before a cycle tour around the charming French village of Villequier.

In Vernon, guests may also partake in a self-guided cycle from Vernon to Giverny, with a stop-off along the way at Monet’s Garden.

This 11-day itinerary sails on a roundtrip from Paris and calls in at Les Andelys, Rouen, Honfleur, Caudebec-en-Caux, Vernon and Conflans, with prices starting from £2,870pp based on a 27 August 2023 departure on board the Scenic Gem.
