The St. Kitts Tourism Authority teamed up with sister island, Nevis, to host 20 travel agents at an event in Surrey on 3 June, in a continued drive by the two tourism authorities to strengthen UK trade engagement.
The intimate soiree, held in The Orangery at The Mitre Hotel in East Molesey, saw representatives from St. Kitts Tourism Authority, Nevis Tourism Authority, and a selection of hotel partners, deliver destination presentations and news updates from the two islands.
There was much to celebrate with St. Kitts Tourism Authority revealing that Q1 2025 arrivals from the UK were up 13% year-on year. February performed particularly well at 27% higher than February 2024.
A prize draw was held for a place on the November fam trip to St. Kitts and Sarah-Jane Ingle from Travel Designers was the lucky winner.
“We’re delighted with how the UK market is performing for us and want to thank our valued travel agent partners for the pivotal part they have played in this success,” said Kelly Fontenelle, CEO of St. Kitts Tourism Authority.
“Events like these form part of our continued strategy to strengthen trade engagement. “Increased distribution with key partners such as Lotus, which has expanded its hotel offering to include Ramada by Wyndham St. Kitts Resort and Royal St. Kitts and DNATA, which has added KOI Resort, Curio Collection by Hilton, Royal St. Kitts and Sugar Bay Club Suites & Hotel to its existing St. Kitts portfolio has also contributed to stronger sales from the UK.”
