British holidaymakers may be watching their spending, but their appetite for travel remains strong.
All details correct at the time of publication (02 November 2026).
Research published by ABTA in October found that value for money was the main reason 48% of package holidaymakers chose to book a package. This was up from 43% the previous year.
Travel agency SuperEscapes is highlighting its latest winter holiday deals, with long-haul escapes starting from £799 per person for eight nights in Thailand, including return flights.
The offers cover a range of holidays, from all-inclusive Caribbean resorts to boutique hotels in Thailand. Departures are available before Christmas and into the new year.
Jason Waldron, spokesperson for SuperEscapes, said:
“Long-haul holidays don’t always have to come with a huge price tag. There are some really good deals available this winter.
“It’s worth comparing what’s included in each package, as well as looking at different departure dates and airports. A little flexibility can make a real difference to the price, particularly when you’re travelling further afield.”
