Budapest will join Lisbon, Miami, Boston, New York, Chicago and Montreal in being home to a coveted Time Out Market, with Time Out Market Budapest set to open soon at the recently renovated Corvin Palace in 2025.
The market will be home to the very best of the city’s food scene, with 14 kitchens for award-winning chefs and budding restaurateurs, as well as plenty of much-loved local gems.
The former department store first opened in 1926 has been redeveloped to revive its “dazzling Neoclassical splendor”.
Oliver Balogh and Viktor Balogh, minority owners of Corvin Palace said:
“Corvin Palace is the oldest department store in Budapest. We are delighted to be welcoming Time Out Market Budapest to Corvin Palace soon.”
In addition to all the delicious cuisine on offer, guests can also explore four bars and sip on cocktails from talented local mixologists. Also available is an event space with seats for 800 people.
Sandy Hayek, Time Out Market CEO, said: “The food scene is a great reflection of the city itself: Budapest offers both traditional, classic and modern, hip elements – it has a vibrant and diverse food scene which we will bring together under one roof at Time Out Market Budapest.”
