Tourism Tokyo Unveils New Agent Training Modules

Tourism Tokyo has added new modules to its e-learning platform to celebrate Japan’s reopening and to encourage traveller dispersal outside of the city limits.

The training programme was launched in September 2022 and now provides further modules with details on post-Covid recommendations and new activities.

The e-learning platform “holds a wealth of information” about the city, where long-standing traditions intersect with ever-changing areas and trailblazing culture.

Agents can look forward to learning all about Japanese food, art, entertainment, architecture or nature, with countless ways to feed information into sales.

In an official statement, Visit Tokyo said that travel to Japan is expected to be popular in 2023.

A number of new hotels and attractions are set to open this year including Bulgari Hotel Tokyo and Hotel Indigo Tokyo Shibuya, as well as a new interactive teamLab museum.

Industry professionals who complete all six Tokyo online training modules by the end of February will go into a draw to win furoshiki Japanese wrapping cloths and Tokyo-branded goodies.

Agents can sign up for the training at: www.onlinetraveltraining.com/free-courses/providers/tokyo-2022

Tourism Tokyo also announced marketing partnerships with Expedia, British Airways and InsideJapan Tours to  run promotions from February to March 2023 to drive consumer demand for Tokyo holidays in the UK market.
