Details continue to emerge about the planned proposals to enable British travellers who have had both doses of Covid-19 jabs to avoid the 10-day self-isolation on return from amber list destinations.
The Department for Transport officials were drawing up plans for fully vaccinated adults to be allowed to travel to amber countries with their children without having to quarantine.
This would open up a number of European destinations that are currently in the amber category including Spain, Greece, France and Portugal.
A decision is to be made after the results of a study that is currently using daily later flow tests as an alternative to the 10-day isolation after coming into contact with a positive case.
It is possible this could be used to allow people to travel more freely.
