TUI Care Foundation is raising funds to help Turkish and Syrian families in need of aid following the devastating earthquake earlier this week.
The foundation is matching every donation made to their new Emergency Relief Fund Appeal – for every pound donated, the TUI Care Foundation will also donate a pound.
The Relief Fund will support UNICEF’s emergency relief efforts on the ground, where help is needed most. 100% of every donation will go directly to emergency support.
TUI said in a statement that Turkey is an important destination for the company with thousands of customers visiting there every year.
The company’s charitable foundation was set up to support the communities in which they operate.
Andrew Flintham, Managing Director of TUI UK & Ireland, said: “We are devastated to hear of the scale of the disaster in Turkey and the massive impact it has had on thousands of people.
“As a travel provider who operates in the country, it is essential for us to contribute to relief efforts and help the people who have lost their homes and are in desperate need of support.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone who has been affected by the earthquake.”
