British holidaymakers can now book TUI Airways charter flights to Djerba, one of Tunisia’s lesser-known islands, for great value holidays from £659 and summer temperatures reaching around 34°C.

The new charter service from London Gatwick will launch for Summer 2027 and run twice a week on Mondays and Fridays, meaning customers can be on the island in around three hours and 15 minutes as part of their TUI holiday.
Sitting just off Tunisia’s south-east coast, Djerba is made for sunseekers, with long sandy beaches, palm-lined resorts, clear turquoise waters and pretty whitewashed villages. Average temperatures sit around 24°C in spring and autumn, with summer highs reaching around 34°C.
The launch comes as Tunisia continues to rise in popularity with holidaymakers looking for affordable sunshine and all-inclusive breaks that help their money go further.
Djerba adds another option for those wanting a beach holiday with plenty to explore beyond the pool. Film fans have another reason to visit, with bookable experiences taking guests into southern Tunisia to see desert landscapes, cave villages and famous Star Wars™ filming locations from £66 per person.
Away from the beach, visitors can explore the bustling souks and cafés of Houmt Souk, visit the colourful street art village of Djerbahood, try fresh seafood and discover more of the island’s local culture from £33 per person.
TUI’s holiday programme includes hotels such as TUI BLUE Palm Beach Palace, a beachfront adults-focused stay with a premium feel, and TUI MAGIC LIFE Penelope Beach, a lively all-inclusive resort made for active family holidays, with sports, entertainment, food and drink included.
