A refurbished and new-look TUI retail store has reopened in Cardiff, with over 150 customers snapping up their dream holiday in the first week.
The TUI store reopened in a new location in the heart of the city centre on Cardiff Queen Street on Friday 23rd February.
Senior Retail Manager Gemma Morgan said: “We have been so excited about the opening of our brand-new store in the heart of the city.
“We’ve loved welcoming customers into our new, modern and spacious store, it’s got a lovely and warm atmosphere.
“In our first week of opening, we booked holidays for over 150 customers and the feedback we have had about the store has been fantastic.
“Customers have said they feel like they are on holiday the moment they walk in, and we’ve loved being able to welcome familiar faces back into the store as well as meeting many new ones.
“Benidorm is proving to still be one of our most popular destinations. We’ve also seen a real rise in exotic long-haul holidays to Mexico, Thailand, and the Maldives. Cruises are really popular among our Cardiff customers too.
“We are a team of 12 and are all well-travelled so know how to inspire and tailor-make customers’ holidays.
“The team has particular expertise across cruise, Europe, the Caribbean, the USA and Asia, so we are ready to help our customers explore the world and create lasting memories with their loved ones.”
Gillian Locke and Peter Haye are two of the store’s most loyal customers and have been booking holidays in the TUI Cardiff retail branch for over 25 years.
The couple was nominated to mark the special occasion by opening the store in front of colleagues and customers on the Cardiff high street.
TUI currently has 325 branches nationwide and a strong partnership with high street giant, Next.

Monday – Thursday 9-5:30
Friday – 9:30 – 5:30
Saturday 9 – 5:30
Sunday 11-5
