Amadeus River Cruises has launched its 2026 Five-Star Tailor-Made River Cruises brochure.

The 148-page brochure, its largest UK brochure to date, features a brand new and exclusive UK proposition combining more inclusive pricing and onboard credits, as well as a new ship and new packaged cruises with pre- and post-extensions.
New UK proposition
The new Five-Star Tailor-Made River Cruising programme features a tailor-made approach that gives UK guests freedom of choice, allowing them to spend their days exactly as they wish based on interests, pace and preferences.
Exclusively for UK guests, every cruise now includes return flights from the UK, executive overseas transfers, full board five-star cruising with gratuities included and up to €200 onboard credit per person to spend as they wish on optional excursions, spa treatments or drinks at the bar.
And if travellers wish to extend their adventure, the team can tailor rail travel, pre- and post-cruise stays, and extended touring.

New Ship
Launching on the Rhine in May 2026, AMADEUS Aurea will feature cutting-edge environmental technologies such as a hybrid propulsion system and an efficient heat recovery system.
The ship will accommodate 158 guests in 12 spacious suites with balconies and 67 cabins featuring panoramic windows. There will also be an elegant Panorama Restaurant, sun deck with outdoor pool and Lido Bar, state-of-the-art fitness room and a River Terrace.
New and unique packaged cruises with pre- and post-extensions – exclusively for the UK market
For the first time ever, the UK brochure features tailor-made pre- and post-cruise tours and stays designed to provide a seamless extension to a river cruise holiday. These tours, which have been designed exclusively for the UK market, include:
Four-day Glacier Express available pre- or post-cruise from Basel. Includes private transfers from ship to train station; scenic rail journey to Zermatt; two nights’ accommodation in Zermatt; excursion on the Gornergrat Mountain Railway; reserved seats on the iconic Glacier Express from Zermatt to Chur; one night’s accommodation in Chur; and rail transfer to Zurich airport for the flight home. Prices from £1,199 per person.
Classical Rhine & Lake Como. A seven-night Classical Rhine cruise between Amsterdam and Basel combined with a three-night land extension including a train journey from Basel to Lake Como, three nights’ lakeside accommodation with breakfast, a guided cruise on Lake Como, and escorted overseas transfers. Prices from £3,541 per person.
Classical Rhine & Scenic Trains of Switzerland. A seven-night Classical Rhine cruise between Amsterdam and Basel combined with a three-night land extension including Swiss rail travel; one night’s four-star accommodation in Montreux; two nights’ four-star accommodation in Interlaken; GoldenPass Express panoramic train journey; excursion to the Jungfraujoch; and reserved seats and luggage transfers where applicable. Prices from £3,941 per person.
1,200 Miles on the Beautiful Blue Danube & Transylvania. A nine- or ten-night Danube cruise between Bucharest and Vienna combined with a four-night land extension including four overnight stays in four- or five-star hotels in Sibiu, Brașov and Bucharest with breakfast and luggage transfer; lunch at the Transfăgărășan Highway; city tour of Sibiu; visit to Sighișoara with a tour of the citadel and lunch.
Visit to the UNESCO village of Viscri; visit to the fortified church of Hărman, guide tour of Brașov; private evening visit to Bran Castle with dinner in the castle grounds; cellar tour at the Rhine Cellars in Azuga with wine tasting and lunch; and visit to the Peleș castle in Sinaia. Classical Danube, Neuschwanstein & Munich. A seven-night Classical Danube cruise between Passau and Budapest combined with a three-night land extension including coach travel from Passau to Munich; three nights’ four-star accommodation in Munich; a guided tour of Munich; a full-day guided tour of Neuschwanstein Castle; and airport transfer on departure. Prices from £3,514 per person.
The 2026 programmes include 15 different itineraries on the waterways of Belgium and Holland, past the Rhine’s picturesque vineyard scenery, along the Rhine-Main canal, in the steps of French Savoir-Vivre on the Rhône, Saône and Seine, and through the charming landscapes adjoining the Danube all the way to the Black Sea.
Also featured is a new Rhine Concert Cruise featuring Dutch violinist and conductor André Rieu, as well as golf-themed cruises on the Rhine and Seine. 2026 prices start from £1,310 per person for the four-night Magic of Advent on the Rhine cruise round-trip from Cologne, departing 10th December, including return flights and overseas transfers.
