UK Lifts Travel Advisory For Maldives

As of September 22, Maldives was removed from the UK’s red list.

On September 28, the British High Commission in the Maldives tweeted on its page @UKinMaldives:

We’re pleased to announce that @FCDOtravelGovUK no longer advises against all but essential travel to #Maldives based on the current COVID-19 risks: https://gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice/maldives

We look forward to safely welcoming back British tourists to Maldives! ☀️

Maldives alongside Turkey and Pakistan were among eight countries removed from UK’s Travel Red List. Following removal, travellers from the Maldives will no longer be required to undergo a quarantine period of 10 days upon arrival.

The country aims to welcome 1.3 million visitors this year with the UK being the top 10 tourism markets for the Maldives.
