The tourism industry in the US and Europe appears to be really starting to recover from the slump caused by last year’s pandemic.
As well as cruises starting to cross the oceans, travel lovers are starting to look for opportunities to enjoy their hobbies. This was revealed in a study conducted by Europ Assistance, an insurance company based in Paris, France, together with Generali Global Assistance, a subsidiary located in San Diego, California, US, from 28th February to 1st April.
The study through the online survey platform Phonic, which involved 8,700 respondents in the US, Spain, France, Portugal, Belgium, Germany, Italy, and the UK, revealed that 71% of US and European tourists are ready to book vacation rentals within the next 18 months. Although, 49% of them will still book vacation rentals in the country, if necessary, they are still close to home, in order to maintain their health. This is different from the 55% of European tourists who are already preparing to travel abroad.
Vacation rental is the rental of professionally managed houses, apartments, condos or resorts to travelers as a temporary alternative to hotels. Such services are very popular in the US and Europe today.
