Viking Cruises’ new ship, Viking Venus sails from Portsmouth today on its maiden voyage and naming ceremony, christened by its godmother, journalist, and broadcaster Anne Diamond.
Passenger sailings begin on 22nd May as Portsmouth becomes the homeport for the five initial UK sailings on Viking Venus.
Passengers travelling through Portsmouth can expect the latest technology including a non-intrusive temperature scanner, contactless touchpoints and frequent sanitation using the most effective cleaning equipment.
