Royal Caribbean announced their initiative to say thank you to UK emergency services, the chance to win a place on board a UK cruise.
With 999 free places up for grabs, the cruise line received 21,000 applications of people wanting to take advantage of their generous offer.
Places were drawn through an independent ballot on 30th April, with successful entrants sailing on Anthem of the Seas on a four-night Ocean Getaway in July.
To compensate those that missed out on the free sailing, Royal Caribbean is offering Blue Light Cardholders a 20% discount until 14th June 2021, for sailings on all Anthem of the Seas from Southampton and Jewel of the Seas from Cyprus, departing this summer.
Ben Bouldin, vice president EMEA, Royal Caribbean International, said: “We have been blown away by the positive response and interest in our UK cruises and are excited to set sail again from Southampton.”
