Star Clippers Welcomes Unvaccinated Guests & Relaxes Travel Requirements

Star Clippers has announced that it will accept unvaccinated passengers and relax pre-embarkation Covid-19 test requirements from November onwards.

This means that unvaccinated passengers will be welcomed from next month and those with a full series of vaccinations no longer need to provide a negative antigen test prior to embarkation.

These protocols take effect from:

Royal Clipper Barbados to Panama: 5th November 2022

Star Clipper Barbados to Panama: 19th November 2022

Star Flyer St Maarten to St Maarten: 26th November 2022

Guests travelling without a Covid-19 vaccination will be required to provide a negative antigen test performed within the 48 hours prior to embarkation.

They can also provide an RT-PCR test performed within 72 hours prior to embarkation in a laboratory or pharmacy setting.

Home/self-tests will not be accepted and Star Clippers has advised that it is the passenger’s responsibility to facilitate the test.

Guests travelling with a full series of vaccinations must still present their proof of vaccine (UK NHS Covid Pass) prior to embarkation.

Fay McCormack, General Manager of Star Clippers said:

‘We are delighted to be announcing these relaxations; this latest update will come as a huge relief to new guests and existing passengers alike.

“Star Clippers will continue to adhere to strict Health and Hygiene policies on board, closely following Public Health Guidelines, as we have always done so.

“This news is a dramatic step forward in our recovery following the pandemic’.
