Ponant has launched a brand new digital experience comprising a podcast, a search engine and an interactive map.
The company said in an official statement that the new tools “have opened new immersive ways for Ponant to create a new exploration playground online.”
It also said that the digital tools are “inspiration levers and an imaginative way to personalise information to better address guests as individuals.”
Search Engine: Inspire by Ponant
Inspire by Ponant is a travel inspiration search engine, designed in collaboration with the digital agency Infostrates.
Its goal is to guide travellers looking for information for their next trip by allowing users to access cruises in an original and playful way.
A range of questions posed will help to create a picture of the perfect voyage. Also included is information on destinations, podcast episodes and articles from the Ponant online magazine Escales.
An English version is due out soon.
Podcast: Explore to Inspire
With one click, listeners can embark on an odyssey to discover tales of voyages, emotions and once-in-a-lifetime experiences of guests, crew and world-renowned experts invited aboard by the company.
Explore to Inspire is a full-immersion format that takes the listener “live” on board Ponant ships.
Last summer, the company recorded testimonials, experiences and soundscapes which were then narrated with voiceovers by actors.
The first episode invites listeners aboard Le Lapérouse with Elie, a Ponant video maker, to discover the traditions of the Asmat people of New Guinea.
Then comes a touching and fascinating narration of the encounter Marguerite, one of PONANT’s guests had with the Emperor penguins in the Antarctic.
Available in French and English, this new Ponant communication tool has the potential to reach thousands of existing and potential customers all over the world.
The “Explore to Inspire” podcast is available on major listening platforms (Spotify, Deezer, Apple Music…).
A real-time tracker map of Ponant’s ships: “Explore”
A real-time tracker map of Ponant’s ships and ports of call, showcasing the position of all ships in the fleet. With just a few clicks, visitors have access to bow cameras for a 360° tour.
They can also discover each port of call via photos and videos.
The first version of the map has just been released in French on the PONANT website.
Other immersive content and practical information will soon be added to further enrich this exciting new tool.
An English version is due out soon.
