Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings has announced its intentions to extend its vaccine mandate “indefinitely” for all cruise passengers.
According to the article published by TravelWeekly.com, all passengers sailing on Norwegian Cruise Line, Oceania Cruises and Regent Seven Seas Cruises are required to be fully vaccinated.
NCLH’s Chief Executive Officer, Frank Del Rio said that extending its 100% vaccination policy gave the three cruise lines “a competitive advantage” and that the company will “continue mandating a 100% vaccination as long as the science dictates that’s what we ought to do,”
Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings operates the Norwegian Cruise Line, Oceania Cruises and Regent Seven Seas Cruises brands.
With a combined fleet of 28 ships with approximately 60,000 berths, these brands offer itineraries to more than 490 destinations worldwide.
The Company has nine additional ships scheduled for delivery through 2027, comprising approximately 24,000 berths.
NCLH was also recently recognized on the Forbes list of the World’s Best Employers 2021, which was announced on October 12, 2021, making it one of only 750 companies globally to achieve this recognition.
Earlier this year it was also named by Forbes as one of America’s Best Large Employers, ranking among the top 75 companies in the overall Large Employer category and among the top 10 companies in the Travel & Leisure sector.
