Norwegian Cruise Line has revealed its plans to restart operations in Europe from the homeports of Barcelona and Rome from 5th September.

The newly renovated Norwegian Epic is scheduled to sail from Barcelona on 7-night western Mediterranean itineraries until 24th October.

The Norwegian Getaway will run 10- to 11-day Greek Islands cruises from Rome from 13th September to 25th October.

NCL president and chief executive Harry Sommer said: “Europe is a top travel destination, so we are very much looking forward to returning to some of our most beloved homeports, resuming those itineraries, and welcoming our guests to experience a vacation of a lifetime in the safest possible manner.”

“Relaunching Norwegian Epic and Getaway will allow us to provide a greater variety of highly sought-after itineraries for those travellers preparing to take their first cruise vacation in over a year.”

Norwegian Epic has been upgraded with 75 suites in The Haven ship-within-ship concept, combined with a redesigned pool and sundeck.
