Oyo UK Hotels Aired on SynXis Sabre Platform to Expand Outreach

Oyo Hotels & Homes, a chain of hotels and guest houses founded in 2013 with a worldwide portfolio of 1.2 million rooms, began connecting its UK hotel chain with the SynXis Sabre Central Reservation System (CSR). 

Since the cooperation was signed on Monday (8/3), more than 80 hotels in the Oyo network in the UK, which consists of 2,500 rooms, have been connected to the global distribution system (GDS) owned by Sabre Corporation, a developer of hospitality technology platform from Southlake, Texas, US.

Apart from being connected to a reservation centre, the SynXis Sabre platform also allows Oyo to expand to a larger market reach and connect with online travel agents in more than 160 countries that have been Sabre markets since its inception in 1960.

In that market, GDS Sabre has a network of more than 900,000 travel agencies and tour operators. By utilizing this network, Oyo makes it possible to boost his income from a wider market. Now alone, the Sabre technology platform manages travel expenses of over US$260 billion annually.

“We are pleased that Oyo hotels in the UK can now be booked through Sabre’s SynXis CSR making it easier for international and domestic companies and travel agents to book accommodation in the UK,” said Rishabs Gupta, Head of Oyo Europe.

For starters, Oyo provides hotels connected with Sabre technology measuring 10-110 rooms in various areas in the UK such as London, Newcastle, Manchester, Glasgow, and Liverpool. There are also resorts on the coast of Brighton, Newquay, the Isle of Wight and Bournemouth.

Frank Trampert, SVP of Sabre Hospitality Solutions and Global Managing Director, Commercial, said the Sabre hospitality technology solution opens up opportunities for the Oyo network in the UK to gain greater revenue due to wider opportunities.
