Princess Cruises has announced an expanded line-up of entertainment onboard Sky Princess as the ship sails from Southampton this season.

Guests can look forward to live-streamed sporting events, interactive audience games and additional theatre productions.

Major sports events including Wimbledon, the Champions League Final and the FIFA Women’s World Cup will be broadcast live onboard.

Guests can watch these events in grand style on large screens in the ship’s public areas, as well as on the top-deck ‘Movies Under the Stars’ screen.

A variety of entertainment is available including an interactive game based on ‘Deal or No Deal’, with the TV show soon returning to TV screens in the UK.

The live, hosted experience debuts on Sky Princess for the first time in the Princess Theatre and offers guests the chance to win prizes ranging from a free cruise to $1,000 cash.

Sky Princess will also offer a range of production shows including:

  • ‘5-Skies’, featuring the high-energy display of stunning acrobatics and dance
  • Spotlight Bar, a musical extravaganza showcasing some of the biggest hits of all time
  • Jim Henson’s ‘Inspired Silliness’, a family-friendly show with some of the puppeteer’s most well-known characters; and
  • Rock Opera, a powerful production featuring classic rock hits.

Princess will also mark this year’s Eurovision song contest, being held on May 13 in Liverpool, by hosting live screenings of the final across the ship – and on all ships in the Princess fleet.

Live entertainment will be provided by Andy Abraham, the singer who previously represented the UK at Eurovision and was runner-up in the second series of TV talent show The X Factor in 2005.

The Sky Princess voyage departs on May 13 from Southampton for a 14-night Iceland and Norway voyage.

Eithne Williamson, Vice President of Princess Cruises for UK and Europe, said: “We’re thrilled to offer a range of entertainment options to suit a wide range of tastes.

“It’s great to be welcoming our guests back onboard Sky Princess in Southampton and to see them enjoying their time both onshore and onboard in equal measure.”

The fun and entertainment extend to the seven-night Scandinavia ‘Comedy Stars’ voyage, sailing July 1, 2023 on Sky Princess.

The voyage departs Southampton with calls at Kristiansand, Copenhagen, Skagen and Oslo and offers fares starting from £699pp.

Guests can take advantage of Princess Pay Monthly, which allows them to spread the cost of their cruise over equal monthly payments – without any extra fees.
